making quilled ear hangings #2
hey, finally another tutorial post!!!
as usual you'll need:
* glue,
*quilling strips (i'm using 3mm strips of dark and light pink and black)
*slotted quilling tool
*and a cylindrical object
*earring hook and jump rings
STEP 1 : take the cylindrical object and then like in the previous tutorial coil the strip around it as shown, (i'm using a cap)
glue the end and carefully remove the coil from the cap
make two such coils.
STEP 2: Now take the other two strips...
and paste the two strips together on one end
STEP 4: apply glue inside the coil
and then arrange the other strip inside the coil.
do this to both the coils( and press the ends to get a teardrop shape if you like)
STEP 5 :now attach the hooks and jump rings to your piece of jewelry
you can attach them directly or by attaching them to smaller coils and then pasting them to the quilled piece
i prefer the latter
STEP 6: ADMIRE YOUR MASTER PIECE ;)

do this with another pair of strip or as required.
STEP 3: with this strip follow the beehive quilling technique. for those of you who dont know this technique its nothing but making multiple simple coils in the same strip.there are videos on this technique on YouTube and i'll try to make a post sometime.STEP 4: apply glue inside the coil
and then arrange the other strip inside the coil.
